We at EOS Authority believe that a successful deployment of REX will be a huge step forward for the EOS community and will be a significant achievement within the blockchain community as a whole. We decided to allocate a significant portion of our technical resources to do a full analysis of the REX code and test its inner workings by pushing REX to its limits. We have uncovered issues in the past with the first code review of REX in January where we identified a critical issue with REX. The second round of reviews & tests lasted over 14 days and the results were published. The third round of reviews and tests lasted about 2 weeks and here are the results.

How did the third round of tests go?

REX Release candidate 3 was the most stable version of REX so far. This was the first time we didn't run into any type of issue. We didn't find any critical issues as on the first version. No REX show stopping bugs as we found on the second version either. As mentioned before, some parts of the system are pretty complicated and need extensive testing. The release candidate is looking good we have requested for an enhancement to make it easier for UI developers to work with REX. We expect to see this in the next release candidate.

REX is now looking very stable.

It has been exactly 100 days since the first version of REX was released by B1. We've had it running on our test servers, Testnets like Jungle (by Cryptolions) and probably other places. This new Release Candidate looks very stable. The next version release by B1 could be the actual version of REX we deploy on the EOS Mainnet and we are excited about it.

What are the next steps?

Block.one is expected to roll out the next Release candidate #4 soon. We will have to test out any aspects that have changed significantly. This time around, we won't need as much time either. As we mentioned in the past, we believe REX is extremely important for EOS. We have allocated financial and technical resources to build a professional interface for REX, the first version is ready, you will love it!. We can't wait for the community (token holders and DApps) to get their hands on REX.
