Free transactions on EOS Authority Wallet

We are happy to provide free CPU for EOS transactions on the EOS Authority Wallet. This free transaction is provided by the Authortiy Charge service. It is designed for EOS token holders who need access to CPU/NET on the EOS Mainnet. This service allows users to PowerUp their account or resort to paid approaches.

How does it work?

EOS blockchain has now transitioned to the new PowerUp Model. This means that EOS has transitioned away from the staking model and CPU/NET resources are available exclusively to accounts that PowerUp. However these powerup actions have to be paid for to allow for transactions. Free transactions are offered to all accounts that meet the voting criteria (see below).

What do I need to do?

Free transactions are managed by the EOS Authority wallet seamlessly. All transactions have to paid for by the PowerUp model, your transactions are automatically covered if your account meets the voting criteria. At any point, you can choose to use your wallet resources directly if you prefer.

What's the voting criteria

We are able to offer free transactions to all EOS account holders that vote for EOS Authority. Votes on EOS can be changed at any time, it does not incur an inherent cost and it does not have any separate lock-in period. To meet the voting criteria, votes for EOS Authority can be via any proxy that also votes for EOS Authority or by including EOS Authority directly on your votes. A lot of accounts already meet this criteria and no further action is necessary. The EOS Authority wallet will guide users through this process.

How do I approve transactions?

This is an important step. You are responsible for verifying the actions you are about to sign with your wallet. It is critical that you understand what you are doing.

This is an example of how Anchor will show the additional action. This relies on the smart contract and CPU billing partner system CPU Authority. When a user submits a transaction, the first one is a charge operation (No operation) and it assures billing is taken care of by the CPU Authority Charge service. There will also be a vote action to help the account meet the voting criteria if it already doesn't. There shouldn't be any other actions besides these two and the one you requested for. Please verify all the transactions before you approve.

Keep your private keys safe. You won't need to use it directly anywhere. Make sure you understand the transactions you sign with your wallet. It is your responsibility to sign transactions after you verify them.

Will it be free in future?

As of now it is free to use for all supporters of EOS Authority. This is also a simple process within the EOS Authority wallet. We will be reviewing the usage patterns over time and working with our partners who maintain the contracts and fund the transactions for users. There are plans to make this a paid service in future for DApps and Power users.
